About The Position
Utz Quality Foods is hiring an experienced Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Technician for its 103 Kindig Lane facility in Hanover, Pennsylvania. This full-time role supports automated conveyor systems and high-speed packaging equipment, focusing on troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance. The required schedule is Monday through Thursday, 5:55 PM to 5:55 AM. The company is offering a sign-on and retention bonus.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in industrial electrical and mechanical maintenance.
- Experience working with automated conveyor systems or warehouse distribution technology.
- Skill in diagnosing issues with sensors, relays, VFDs, and control panels.
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work at heights up to 30 feet.
- Strong troubleshooting mindset and attention to detail.

- Experience in food manufacturing or packaging.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair advanced conveyor belt systems and automated material-handling equipment.
- Work with PLC systems, motor controls, DC/AC drives, and sensor-based automation.
- Install, wire, and maintain electrical components such as relays, motors, and panels.
- Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and keep equipment operating smoothly.
- Read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams accurately.
- Independently install conduit, EMT, and sealtite to support system upgrades and expansions.
