About The Position

IES Residential is seeking an Electrical Foreman to join our team. Previous construction and field leadership experience is preferred. We are looking for a highly organized, safety-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can effectively lead crews, manage field operations, and support project completion.

Requirements

  • Previous foreman, construction supervision, or field leadership experience preferred.
  • Electrical, HVAC, plumbing, or construction industry experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Knowledge of construction practices, safety standards, and building codes.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment screenings such as background and motor vehicle record checks.
  • English speaking, reading, and writing preferred, and required where necessary to perform job duties.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Spanish speaking preferred.
  • Maintain professionalism and a positive, respectful demeanor with customers, coworkers, and business partners.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Relevant industry certifications or licenses preferred, and required where necessary to perform job duties.
  • Use tools, equipment, phones, tablets.
  • Ability to effectively multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and adapt to changing project demands.
  • Ability to work overtime, modified schedules, or occasional weekends as business needs require.
  • Stand, walk, climb ladders and stairs, kneel, bend, stoop, crouch, crawl, reach, and lift throughout the workday.
  • Sit for extended periods while driving to and between job sites.
  • Work on active job sites, indoors and outdoors, including attics, crawlspaces, and confined or elevated spaces, with exposure to varying weather, construction noise, dust, and other job site conditions.
  • Wear safety gear such as Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Maintain dependable transportation and consistent, reliable attendance to meet customer service and operational needs.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and make independent decisions within established company policies and procedures.
  • Communicate in person, by phone, and electronically, including on a tablet, smartphone, and other office technology.
  • Travel as required to support project and operational needs.
  • Perform all work on-site and in person; this is not a remote or hybrid position.
  • Lift, carry, push, and pull at least 50 pounds.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without current or future need for employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily field operations and job site activities.
  • Lead, train, and support field crews to ensure safe and efficient work performance.
  • Review project plans, specifications, and schedules to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Monitor job progress, productivity, and quality to ensure timely project completion.
  • Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel regarding project needs and schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and job site procedures.
  • Inspect work performed to verify quality standards and code compliance.
  • Assist with material planning, equipment usage, and workforce scheduling.
  • Identify and resolve job site issues, conflicts, and operational concerns.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to job site activities.
  • Contribute as a team player in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Maintain professionalism and excellent communication with customers, vendors, and team members at all times.
  • Perform additional administrative and operational support tasks as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
