About The Position

The Electrical Foreman is responsible for overseeing electrical field operations, coordinating crews, and supporting the safe, accurate, and timely completion of electrical projects. This role provides field leadership while ensuring electrical installations, maintenance, and related work meet project requirements, company standards, applicable electrical codes, and customer expectations.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, installation practices, troubleshooting techniques, and construction methods.
  • Strong understanding of workplace safety practices, applicable electrical codes, and industry standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, project plans, specifications, and electrical documentation.
  • Ability to effectively lead, coordinate, train, and provide direction to electrical field personnel.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions in the field.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, project requirements, and deadlines in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety, quality, productivity, and customer expectations.
  • Proficiency in using electrical tools, testing equipment, mobile devices, and applicable systems or software.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with project leadership, field personnel, customers, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment screenings such as background and motor vehicle record checks.
  • English speaking, reading, and writing preferred, and required where necessary to perform job duties.
  • Spanish speaking preferred.
  • Maintain professionalism and a positive, respectful demeanor with customers, coworkers, and business partners.
  • Previous electrical installation, construction, maintenance, or troubleshooting experience required.
  • Maintain dependable transportation and consistent, reliable attendance to meet customer service and operational needs.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and make independent decisions within established company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work overtime, modified schedules, or occasional weekends as business needs require.
  • Communicate in person, by phone, and electronically, including on a tablet, smartphone, and other office technology.
  • Perform all work on-site and in person; this is not a remote or hybrid position.
  • Lift, carry, push, and pull at least 50 pounds.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without current or future need for employer sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous experience leading or supervising electrical crews or field operations preferred.
  • Experience within construction, field operations, or service environments preferred.
  • Relevant electrical certifications or licenses preferred, and required where necessary to perform job duties.
  • Equivalent combination of education, electrical experience, and field leadership experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate electrical crews and daily field activities to support project schedules, productivity, and quality standards.
  • Oversee electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work to ensure accurate and efficient project execution.
  • Review project plans, blueprints, specifications, schematics, and work orders and communicate requirements to field personnel.
  • Ensure electrical work is completed in compliance with company policies, safety standards, applicable electrical codes, and project requirements.
  • Monitor jobsite progress, workmanship, materials, equipment, and site conditions and address issues that may impact safety, quality, or project completion.
  • Coordinate with project leadership, employees, customers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal departments regarding project activities, material needs, schedules, and operational concerns.
  • Provide direction, training, and support to electricians, technicians, apprentices, and other field personnel as needed.
  • Identify and assist with resolving electrical, operational, and jobsite issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, work orders, and project documentation related to field activities and project progress.
  • Promote a safe, organized, and productive jobsite while maintaining professional communication with customers, coworkers, and business partners.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
