About The Position

Timmons Group is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to join its Energy team supporting utility-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. The role manages electrical engineering and design from conceptual design through issued-for-construction (IFC) documents and construction support. It leads electrical engineering and design teams, manages project staffing and resources, and ensures projects meet scope, budget, schedule, and quality requirements. The position provides technical leadership and project oversight for PV and BESS electrical systems, including collection systems, inverters and power conversion systems, grounding, communications, and associated electrical balance-of-system design. It coordinates design interfaces with substations, gen-tie facilities, utility interconnections, SCADA and communications systems, other engineering disciplines, equipment vendors, and project stakeholders. The role also supports proposals, client relationships, business development, design standards, and the development of electrical engineering staff. Timmons Group describes itself as a full-service engineering and technology firm with 22 offices across the Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, and South Central United States. It highlights its career development setting, resources, technology, and culture, and states that it is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
