About The Position

Timmons Group is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to join its Energy team, supporting utility-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. The position manages electrical engineering and design from conceptual design through issued-for-construction (IFC) documents and construction support. It leads electrical engineers and designers, plans staffing and resources, and ensures projects meet scope, budget, schedule, and quality requirements. The role provides technical and project-management leadership across PV and BESS electrical systems, including medium-voltage collection, equipment, grounding, communications, and electrical balance-of-system design. It coordinates with clients, vendors, contractors, utilities, and other engineering disciplines; reviews and approves engineering deliverables; oversees design quality and constructability; and manages project performance and scope changes. The position also supports proposals, business development, design standards, quality-control processes, and mentorship of engineers and designers. Timmons Group is a full-service engineering and technology firm with 22 offices throughout the Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, and South Central United States. It provides civil engineering, environmental, economic development, GIS/geospatial technology, landscape architecture, and surveying services. The firm describes itself as an employer of choice committed to providing resources, technology, culture, and career development opportunities. Candidates are expected to share the company’s Vision, Mission, and Shared Values. The company is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer and provides reasonable accommodations to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
