About The Position
Applied Materials’ Continuous Improvement Program (CIP) is seeking an Electrical Engineering intern for Summer 2027. CIP is responsible for hardware design and improvements of released products. The role is based in Gloucester, Massachusetts, and runs from May 24 through August 13, 2027. The intern will support technical documentation, component soldering, schematic review, hands-on factory troubleshooting, and data collection and analysis alongside senior engineers.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Be in good academic standing at the university.
- Desire to learn.
- Be a quick learner.
Nice To Haves
- GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale is preferred.
- Prior related experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Create and edit technical documentation.
- Assist with soldering and unsoldering components.
- Analyze and review power and signal schematic diagrams and create redlines for CAD.
- Troubleshoot issues hands-on at the factory and analyze problems with senior engineers.
- Use test equipment to gather and analyze data.
