About The Position
Applied Materials’ Continuous Improvement Program (CIP) is seeking an Electrical Engineering intern for Summer 2027 in Gloucester, Massachusetts. CIP is responsible for hardware design and improvements to released products. The internship is scheduled to run from May 24 through August 13, 2027. The role is full-time and includes travel up to 10% of the time; relocation is eligible.
Requirements
- Be pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Be in good academic standing at the university.
- Have a desire to learn and be a quick learner.
Nice To Haves
- A GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale is preferred.
- Prior related experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Create and edit technical documentation.
- Assist with soldering and unsoldering components.
- Analyze and review power and signal schematic diagrams and create redlines for CAD.
- Troubleshoot issues hands-on at the factory and analyze problems with Senior Engineers.
- Use test equipment to gather and analyze data.
