Test Engineering Intern, BS - Summer 2027

Marvell Technology•Santa Clara, CA
•$25 - $50•Onsite

About The Position

As a Test Engineering Intern in Marvell’s Operations business group, you will help test features on silicon semiconductor chips for internal and external customers, ensuring that underperforming units are not shipped. You will work with design teams to ensure chip features are testable and results meet customer specifications. The role may involve writing code or developing testing strategies when chips exceed the capabilities of current testing equipment. In an on-site environment in Santa Clara, California, and additional locations, you will work under the direction of a mentor and team lead. You will verify code and test programs across many individual parts, flag parts with unexpected results for further investigation, reproduce issues on the test bench, and collaborate with design and verification teams to identify root causes. The team uses Python, Visual Basic, and C for test development, along with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, Teradyne Ultraflex testers, and Advantest 93K testers. The team owns test engineering activities for new product introduction, including silicon bring-up; release of sampling, qualification, characterization, and production test programs; and optimization of test time and yield. You will collaborate with your team and colleagues in design, marketing, program management, quality assurance, and other operations teams. The expected base pay range is $25–$50 per hour. Starting pay depends on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Intern benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, perks and discounts, mental health resources, and paid holidays. Additional compensation may be available for intern PhD candidates.
