About The Position

BAE Systems is seeking experienced Digital, Analog, or Power Supply Engineers with 6+ years of experience to join their growing teams. These roles will support engineering development, integration, test, and transition to production efforts on complex electronic modules. The successful candidates will provide electrical engineering support to a dynamic engineering development team, leading first unit test, design verification test, integration, and transition to production tasks on complex digital, analog, and power supply circuit cards and modules. Candidates must possess strong technical aptitude, communication skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally within the hardware organization and with other engineering disciplines/functions. They must also be able to exercise discretion and independent judgment in technical areas. Requirements

  • 6+ years experience in Digital, Analog or Power Supply Design or a related field

Responsibilities

  • Design of complex high speed digital circuit card assemblies
  • Design, analysis and verification of Digital circuits for FPGA and microcontroller interfaces such as PCIE, SPI, I2C, UART, GPIO, DDR, Ethernet, ARINC, 1553, etc.
  • Design, simulation and verification high speed interfaces (Signal Integrity)
  • Circuit design tasks consist of part selection, schematic capture, PWB creation support, performance analysis and simulation and design verification testing.
  • Support test and troubleshooting of systems, modules and sub-assemblies of digital modules
  • Work closely with PWB packaging and layout engineers
  • Technical writing skills: capable of creating required engineering documentation
  • Generate and review the technical content of test procedures, drawings, engineering specifications, reports, Engineering Change Orders and other documentation
  • Interface with other Engineering disciplines, Operations, Quality and other supporting functions to drive defect resolution to root cause
  • Generate and implement improvements in product and test design and methodologies to reduce cost, increase yield and improve throughput
  • Motivated self-starter who has the ability to work effectively in team environment
  • Provide training and support to technicians and manufacturing personnel as required
  • Lead/Mentor a team of junior engineers
  • Interface with customers and suppliers as required
  • Presentation of design to internal and customer review boards at milestone reviews.
  • Experienced in the design, analysis and testing of AC/DC and DC/DC converters for military and aerospace applications
  • Be proficient in the areas of control circuit, EMI filter and magnetics design, parts selection, developing and executing test procedures and anomaly resolution
  • Experienced in the design, analysis and testing of power electronics including DC/DC Converters, motor drives, gate drivers, analog circuitry, and magnetics
  • Experience with switching power supply converter topologies such as the Buck, Boost, Flyback, Forward, Push-Pull, Half Bridge, Cuk, Sepic
  • Comprehensive knowledge of electronic power devices such as MOSFETs, Schottky Diodes, IGBT'S
  • Experience with design analysis tools such as PSpice and MathCad
  • Experience performing analog circuit stress and tolerance analysis.
