About The Position

The Electrical Engineer III designs, develops, modifies, and evaluates electronic parts, components, integrated circuitry, and hardware systems for electronic equipment and electrical engineering applications. The role selects components and equipment based on specification and reliability analysis, determines design approaches and parameters, and conducts general engineering and design of electronic systems for small unmanned aircraft vehicles with cross-functional teams. The engineer performs circuit simulation and detailed digital and analog design; supports system integration, assembly, and testing; and documents designs through engineering drawings and written descriptions. The role also troubleshoots complex hardware and software systems, builds and tests prototypes, works with avionics, embedded systems, and RF links, and writes software to support sensor and embedded-processor integration. Circuit-board work spans architecture, component selection, schematic capture, layout, bring-up, and documentation. The position provides electronic engineering support on R&D projects, including design, analysis, and fabrication and test procedures.
