Electrical Engineer I - Precon/Design Phase

Mortenson•Robbinsdale, MN
•$80,900 - $109,300

About The Position

Mortenson is hiring an Electrical Engineer to join its Power Delivery Design Phase (Pre-Construction) team. The role owns the electrical scope from initial customer contact through handoff to the Operations Electrical team, covering proposals, estimating, contracting, and design coordination. Hiring level is determined by experience, and team members work across the full breadth of the pre-construction process rather than in narrow specialty areas. This high-visibility, single-point-of-contact position works directly with customers, Precon Managers, trade partners, suppliers, legal, and senior leadership across an approximately 18-month pre-construction lifecycle. The role is based in or requires relocation to the greater Twin Cities area. The position offers a base pay range of $80,900–$109,300, with higher ranges for certain office locations, and is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan. Benefits are listed for eligible non-craft and non-union craft employees working 25 or more hours per week. Visa sponsorship is not offered; candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without employment visa sponsorship.
