Sargent & Lundy•Richland, WA
•$62,998 - $90,586

About The Position

As an Electrical Engineer 1 in Sargent & Lundy’s Nuclear Power Group, you will help design and modernize electrical systems and large power components for existing nuclear plants, restart projects, small modular reactors, and advanced reactor facilities. You will also support plant life-extension and digital upgrade initiatives. The position provides daily technical supervision and support from experienced engineers and subject matter experts, along with hands-on learning, technical training, and collaboration across engineering disciplines. Work is performed using industry standards, internal guidance, and established technical processes and performance-improvement resources. Under the direction of senior engineers, you will use and develop your academic electrical engineering background through engineering calculations, power-system analysis, equipment design and integration, preparation of technical documentation, and collaboration with designers and multidisciplinary project teams. The role also offers exposure to client stakeholders, station procedures, project schedules and budgets, professional licensure, and nuclear facility design and licensing bases. You may access nuclear power stations for walkdowns and to witness installation, testing, and refueling outage activities.
