Zachry Engineering Corporation is currently seeking a talented and self-motivated Lead Electrical Designer to join our Electrical Department in Charlotte, North Carolina. This position offers the opportunity to lead electrical design efforts on complex Power/Energy and Industrial projects, working closely with engineers, designers, and project leadership. The Electrical Designer is responsible for applying advanced electrical design practices to assigned projects and leading design execution within the electrical discipline. This role involves planning and executing moderately complex design scopes or leading portions of larger projects, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring designs meet technical, quality, and schedule requirements. The Electrical Designer selects and adapts design procedures, prepares preliminary designs for engineering approval, reviews work for technical adequacy, and may serve as the design checker or technical lead on assigned projects. The role also provides field support and ensures designs are constructible and accurately documented.
