About The Position

Salas O’Brien is seeking an exceptional Electrical Designer to join their successful, growing team in Raleigh, NC. This role involves using REVIT and AutoCAD to design electrical systems, lighting layouts, and power systems for commercial spaces. The position is based onsite at their new Raleigh office, and the successful candidate will be part of a highly engaged team responsible for consulting on a wide variety of complex projects. Salas O’Brien is an employee-owned engineering and professional services firm founded in 1975, focused on achieving impact for clients, team members, and the world. They work across various industries including data centers, healthcare, science and technology, clean energy, and education, providing integrated engineering and consulting services.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in the design of electrical systems for various types of facilities.
• Proficiency in REVIT AutoCAD is essential.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Leadership ability and entrepreneurial spirit.
• Self-starter that requires little direction to get moving on a project.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic electrical engineering calculations.
• Layout and design electrical distribution.
• Work on lighting design and lighting controls.
• Design systems in accordance with the NEC and IECC.
• Design projects from conceptual design to completion.
