About The Position

We are currently looking for an Electrical Controls Graduate Engineer at Johnson Matthey as part of the Group Engineering function's Graduate Engineering Program (GEP). The GEP supports key business capabilities and the rapid professional progression of future engineers. Graduates on the GEP will undergo technical and leadership development while completing high-priority business projects. They will be assigned a mentor to support their progress towards Chartered Engineer status. At Johnson Matthey, your work will matter. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Process Controls Engineering or similar field (Minimum 3.2 GPA)
  • Must be geographically flexible and have a desire to relocate to any JM site for three placements for the duration of the development program and first role following the end of the program.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and a true career aspiration to lead others is essential; must be adaptable, strive for excellence, and demonstrate a positive attitude in the face of adversity
  • Strong interpersonal skills a must, coupled with a proven ability to build collaborative relationships to achieve results

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engineered solutions for production improving safety, sustainability performance, and reliability
  • Commission new plant equipment and develop/deliver training for operators
  • Mechanical and maintenance optimization
  • Electrical AC Power Systems, Motors and Drives, Control Instrumentation and Grounding systems.
  • Implement standardized JM processes to drive continuous improvement toward goals
  • Energy, water, waste and emission monitoring to drive sustainability opportunities
