About The Position

We are currently looking for an Electrical Engineer at Johnson Matthey as part of our Graduate Engineering Program (GEP) within the Group Engineering function. The GEP is designed to support the key capabilities of our business and foster the rapid professional progression of future engineers. Graduates in the GEP will participate in various technical and leadership development activities while working on high-priority business projects. They will be assigned a mentor to guide their progress towards Chartered Engineer status. At Johnson Matthey, your contributions will be significant. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an electrical engineering field with a minimum GPA of 3.2.
  • Must be geographically flexible and willing to relocate to any JM site for three placements during the development program and for the first role after the program concludes. Relocation assistance is provided for eligible candidates.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and a genuine aspiration to lead others.
  • Adaptability, a drive for excellence, and a positive attitude when facing challenges.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to build collaborative relationships to achieve results.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engineered solutions for production, aiming to improve safety, sustainability performance, and reliability.
  • Commission new plant equipment and develop/deliver training for operators.
  • Mechanical and maintenance optimization.
  • Focus on Electrical AC Power Systems, Motors and Drives, Control Instrumentation, and Grounding systems.
  • Implement standardized JM processes to drive continuous improvement towards goals.
  • Monitor energy, water, waste, and emissions to identify and pursue sustainability opportunities.
