About The Position
HazTek is hiring an experienced EHS Coordinator in Austin, TX to be at the center of a safety program! You'll be on the floor, in the field, and deep in the compliance work that keeps our people safe and our operations running.
Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or field operations environment required
- Electrical experience required
- OSHA 30 certification required
- Fortlift certifification required
- Strong knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910 and 1926, RCRA hazardous waste requirements, and EPA/TCEQ regulations
- Excellent verbal and written skills

Nice To Haves
- familiarity with lithium-ion battery storage systems or NFPA 855 is a plus
- NFPA 70e is highly preferred
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of the project ensuring OSHA compliance
- Identify hazards, coach safe behaviors, deliver training, and build a safety culture that works on the line, not just on paper
- Respond to EHS incidents and emergencies: activate procedures, collect preliminary findings, and support root cause investigations
- Manage the full RCRA hazardous waste program storage, labeling, satellite accumulation, drum logs, and coordination with disposal contractors
- Conduct daily safety meetings and audits
- Ensure all personnel wear their personal protective equipment (PPE)
