About The Position

This is an entry-level position responsible for performing a variety of routine and complex administrative and technical tasks. This position will work closely with operations and engineering and be responsible for planning, developing, administering, and maintaining various components of the Environmental, Health, and Safety management system. The role involves acting as needed to safeguard employees, provide comprehensive training, and identify any resources needed to manage risks effectively.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational and Environmental Safety and Health preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with company’s safety programs, standards, and procedures to help protect employees against injury and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Facilitate monthly Safety Committee meetings and manage action items.
  • Assist with training activities.
  • Review and update Lockout/Tagout procedures.
  • Perform audits, risk assessments, & Job hazard analysis to identify and mitigate risk to employees.
  • Update Safety Data Sheets.
  • Establish training schedule and provide training to ensure OSHA compliance.
  • Perform audits to ensure compliance with OSHA, ANSI, NFPA, etc. standards.
  • Provide assistance on incident investigations completion, root cause analysis, corrective action implementation and tracking.
