HazTek is hiring an experienced EHS Coordinator in Austin, TX to be at the center of a safety program! You'll be on the floor, in the field, and deep in the compliance work that keeps our people safe and our operations running. Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or field operations environment required
  • Electrical experience required
  • OSHA 30 certification required
  • Fortlift certifification required
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910 and 1926, RCRA hazardous waste requirements, and EPA/TCEQ regulations
  • Excellent verbal and written skills

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with lithium-ion battery storage systems or NFPA 855 is a plus
  • NFPA 70e is highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of the project ensuring OSHA compliance
  • Identify hazards, coach safe behaviors, deliver training, and build a safety culture that works on the line, not just on paper
  • Respond to EHS incidents and emergencies: activate procedures, collect preliminary findings, and support root cause investigations
  • Manage the full RCRA hazardous waste program storage, labeling, satellite accumulation, drum logs, and coordination with disposal contractors
  • Conduct daily safety meetings and audits
  • Ensure all personnel wear their personal protective equipment (PPE)
