About The Position

The EHR Analyst supports all end‑users of the agency’s Electronic Health Record (EHR) platforms and associated modules across programs. The Analyst ensures that EHR systems operate efficiently, securely, and in alignment with clinical, operational, and regulatory requirements. This position requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, service‑oriented environment. The Analyst plays a critical role in maintaining data integrity, optimizing workflows, supporting end‑users, and identifying risks related to data quality and system performance.

Requirements

  • Experience supporting an EHR system in healthcare, behavioral health, or human services.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to assess workflows and identify improvements.
  • Ability to translate user needs into clear technical requirements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort learning new technologies and systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and data integrity.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines independently.
  • Proactive approach to identifying issues, proposing solutions, and driving system improvements.
  • Comfort working in a hybrid clinical/technical role that bridges programs, operations, and technology.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical users.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across departments, including clinical teams and data teams.
  • Ability to build trust with end‑users and support staff with varying levels of technical comfort.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day‑to‑day support for multiple EHR platforms used across programs.
  • Troubleshoot system issues, research root causes, and coordinate resolutions with vendors and internal teams.
  • Maintain data integrity, security, and compliance across all assigned applications.
  • Monitor, triage, and complete EHR support tickets while ensuring timely communication with end‑users.
  • Conduct in‑depth analysis of clinical, operational, and billing workflows to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Configure system content, forms, templates, and workflows to support program needs.
  • Participate in or lead implementation projects, upgrades, and new module rollouts.
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT), software validation, and documentation of system changes.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for EHR functionality, workflows, and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain user guides, training materials, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Provide training, coaching, and support to new and existing staff, including super‑users and program leadership.
  • Facilitate cross‑departmental workgroups to ensure consistent and effective use of the EHR.
  • Partner with the Data Team to ensure alignment between EHR data structures and reporting needs.
  • Support data quality initiatives, including audits, validation checks, and error resolution.
  • Collaborate with Data Analysts on data extraction, reporting, and dashboard development (SQL/Power BI skills are a plus).
  • Assist in establishing new data collection methods and analysis techniques to support program and compliance requirements.
  • Act as a liaison between program staff, EHR vendors and the Data Team.
  • Communicate system issues, enhancement requests, and project updates to stakeholders.
  • Participate in vendor meetings, system reviews, and roadmap planning.
  • Ensure EHR functionality supports workflows across services.
  • Identify and communicate risks related to data integrity, privacy, workflow gaps, or system performance.
  • Support compliance with HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, state regulations, and agency policies.
  • Assist with audit preparation, documentation, and corrective action plans as needed.
