About The Position

The Doe Fund is seeking an Education Manager to join their team at the 510 Gates Avenue Brooklyn facility. This role is crucial for supporting the delivery, quality, and consistency of education and training services across all Ready Willing & Able program sites. Reporting to the Director of Education and Training, the Education Manager acts as a liaison between program strategy and daily operations, ensuring Adult Education and TABE Specialists receive effective support, supervision, and alignment with departmental goals. The Manager is responsible for enhancing instructional quality, participant engagement, and overall program consistency at The Doe Fund's transitional sites in Bushwick, Bed-Stuy, and Harlem. Additionally, the role involves supporting the development and improvement of occupational training through research, data analysis, and program evaluation, contributing to the overall structure and quality of Education and Training services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience in adult education, workforce development, or related field
  • Proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Calendar required
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and workforce development pathways
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities across sites in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail with experience overseeing documentation and data quality

Nice To Haves

  • Prior supervisory or team leadership experience strongly preferred
  • Experience working with individuals impacted by homelessness, substance use, or the criminal justice system is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Directly supervise Adult Education and TABE Specialists across all program sites
  • Provide ongoing coaching, guidance, and performance management to ensure staff effectiveness and growth
  • Conduct regular observations of classes, TABE sessions, and participant interactions to ensure quality and consistency
  • Support staff in strengthening facilitation skills, coaching techniques, and participant engagement strategies
  • Lead regular team check-ins and contribute to a culture of accountability, communication, and continuous improvement
  • Support oversight of Computer Essentials instruction across all sites to ensure consistency in delivery and participant experience
  • Monitor TABE testing processes and ensure alignment with program expectations and participant flow
  • Review Education and Training plans and case notes to ensure quality, accuracy, and alignment with participant goals
  • Identify gaps in service delivery and implement improvements to strengthen program outcomes
  • Support the development and standardization of procedures across the Education and Training team
  • Conduct research on potential occupational training opportunities, including program structure, cost, stipend availability, and alignment with participant needs
  • Analyze labor market trends and training outcomes to inform program recommendations
  • Compile research and present findings to the Director of Education and Training to support decision-making
  • Support updates to occupational training materials, including flyers and program information to ensure accuracy and clarity
  • Work closely with Workforce Development staff to ensure alignment between education, training, and employment pathways
  • Support communication and coordination across departments to strengthen participant experience and service delivery
  • Participate in staff meetings, case conferences, and departmental planning discussions
  • Step in to support classroom facilitation or TABE coverage as needed to maintain program continuity
  • Support department presence at key program events, including Alumni BBQ, Alumni Dinners, and the annual Doe Fund Graduation
  • Provide guidance to staff on post-program engagement strategies and participant follow-up
  • Ensure high standards of documentation across the Education and Training team, including case notes, Education and Training plans, and participant tracking
  • Monitor data entry within internal client tracking systems and external spreadsheets for accuracy and completeness
  • Identify trends in participant data to inform program improvements and reporting
  • Support reporting needs and data requests for leadership
