About The Position

The Education Coordinator - Workforce Division will support the design, updating, and evaluation of Youth Workforce curriculums. This role involves facilitating youth workforce lessons for participants aged 14-24 enrolled in programs like Work, Learn, & Grow (WLG) and the Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP). The coordinator will model positive youth development and holistic practices, accompany participants on trips as a chaperone, and communicate participant progress to key stakeholders. Responsibilities also include monitoring program activities, work readiness training, orientations, and attendance. A key aspect of this role is overseeing facilitators, which includes interviewing, providing supervision, managing hours, and creating schedules. The coordinator will also build and maintain positive relationships with school representatives, parents/guardians, and community partners. Additionally, the role involves monitoring program quality using internal and external databases, assisting with program audit compliance, and collaborating with the supervisor on training seasonal staff.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Strong curriculum development, facilitation, and classroom management skills.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support in designing, updating, and evaluating Youth Workforce curriculums.

  • Monitor programs activity, work readiness training, orientations, attendance etc.
  • Responsible for overseeing Facilitators including interviewing, providing one on one supervision, ensuring that hours are not exceeded, providing a schedule etc.
  • Meet with representatives of all school sites to develop and maintain positive relationships.
  • Monitor attendance, enrollment, and program quality using internal and external databases (DYCD Connect, etc.).
  • Assist with program audit compliance, including timely submission of reports and documentation.
  • Build strong relationships with schools, parents/guardians, and community partners.
  • Collaborate with the supervisor on training seasonal staff.
  • Perform any and all tasks deemed necessary by the supervisor
