The Edison Engineering Development Program (EEDP) is a three-year entry-level program designed to provide recent Mechanical Engineering graduates with at least three technical rotational assignments. These assignments are engineering positions within various Technology departments at GE Appliances, a Haier company. The program aims to develop and improve new products in areas such as Refrigeration, Cooking, Dishwashers, Air Conditioners, and Washers & Dryers. EEDPs collaborate closely with manufacturing and product management to integrate product designs that meet customer needs. The program enhances core engineering skills through advanced engineering coursework, formal reports, and presentations to senior leadership. A key requirement of the program is obtaining a Master’s Degree in Engineering, which is fully paid for by the company. GE Appliances partners with a local university to provide customized classes on-site that align with the program's needs. This comprehensive approach prepares program members with the technical and professional skills necessary for career growth in engineering.
