The Edison Engineering Development Program (EEDP) is a three-year entry-level program designed to provide recent Mechanical Engineering graduates with diverse experiences through at least three technical rotational assignments. These assignments are engineering positions within various Technology departments at GE Appliances, a Haier company. The program focuses on developing core engineering skills through advanced coursework, formal reports, and presentations, culminating in the requirement to obtain a Master’s Degree in Engineering, which is fully sponsored by the company. GE Appliances partners with a local university to provide customized, on-site classes tailored to the program's needs. EEDPs contribute to the development and improvement of new products in areas such as Refrigeration, Cooking, Dishwashers, Air Conditioners, and Washers & Dryers, working closely with manufacturing and product management to integrate designs that meet customer needs. This program aims to equip members with the technical and professional skills necessary for career growth in engineering.
