About The Position

The Edison Engineering Development Program (EEDP) is a three-year entry-level program designed to provide recent Mechanical Engineering graduates with at least three technical rotational assignments. These assignments offer diverse experiences in areas such as design engineering, systems management, finite element analysis, quality improvement, cost reduction, product reliability, and component & product testing. The program focuses on developing technical problem-solving skills through advanced engineering coursework, formal reports, and presentations to senior leadership. A key requirement of the program is obtaining a Master’s Degree in Engineering, which is fully sponsored by the company through customized classes with a local university. This program aims to equip members with the technical and professional skills necessary for career growth in engineering within GE Appliances, a Haier company.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or better in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering degree.
  • Cumulative GPA >= 3.0 (out of 4.0).
  • Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
  • Commitment to a Technical Engineering Program.
  • Solid analytical skills.
  • Strong work ethic.

  • Desire and ability to continue learning.
  • Completed two or more co-op or intern experiences prior to graduation.

Responsibilities

  • Complete at least three technical rotational assignments in various Technology positions.

  • Prepare formal reports and presentations to senior leadership.
