About The Position

The Edison Engineering Development Program (EEDP) is a three-year entry-level program designed to develop and improve exciting new products in areas such as Refrigeration, Cooking, Dishwashers, Air Conditioning, and Washers & Dryers. EEDPs work closely with manufacturing and product management to integrate product designs that meet customer needs. The program provides interesting work rotations and continued technical education, including obtaining a Master’s Degree in Engineering, which is paid for by the company. GE Appliances partners with a local university for customized classes that match the needs of the Edison program. Core engineering skills such as PCB design, testing, implementation, and small project management are enhanced through advanced courses and mentoring, preparing members with the technical and professional skills needed for a career in engineering.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or better in Electrical Engineering or related engineering degree.
  • Cumulative GPA >= 3.0 (out of 4.0).
  • Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Provide at least three technical rotational assignments over a three-year period.
  • Engage in engineering positions in various Technology departments.
  • Gain diverse experiences including designing and implementing technical solutions.
  • Develop technical problem-solving skills through advanced engineering coursework, formal reports, and presentations to senior leadership.
  • Obtain a Master’s Degree in Engineering.
