EDI Analyst & Senior EDI Analyst
About The Position
Louisiana Blue is hiring multiple EDI Analysts for its EDI Customer Operations Project Development Team. Candidates may be hired at the Analyst or Senior Analyst level based on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated competencies. Reporting to the Manager of EDI Project Development, the role supports EDI systems, integrations, automation initiatives, and operational processes. It works with internal and external stakeholders to improve efficiency, reliability, and customer experience while meeting applicable regulatory and industry requirements. Senior Analysts also provide technical leadership, subject matter expertise, and mentorship. All levels design, maintain, and enhance EDI systems, services, and operational processes for accurate, efficient, and compliant healthcare data exchange. They gather requirements, develop and implement solutions, support testing and validation, monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, coordinate resolutions, recommend improvements, and maintain technical and operational documentation. They also help ensure compliance with regulatory, privacy, security, and industry standards. Analysts provide EDI support and production troubleshooting, assist with enhancements, implementations, testing, and documentation, and contribute to process improvements. Senior Analysts lead complex projects, integrations, automation, testing, implementation, and critical issue resolution; identify improvements aligned with business objectives; and mentor colleagues while facilitating collaboration across technical and business teams. The work is performed in a normal, clean office environment with normal noise levels, predominantly while standing or sitting. Travel may be required as needed. Residency in or relocation to Louisiana is preferred. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without employer-sponsored immigration or other employment-based immigration support.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage priorities, collaborate across teams, and document business and technical requirements.
- Travel as needed.
- Analyst: At least 2 years of experience supporting business systems, technology solutions, or operational processes.
- Analyst: Experience with troubleshooting, system enhancements, and project support activities.
- Senior Analyst: At least 4 years of related experience, including at least 3 years supporting complex system implementations.
- Senior Analyst: Proven leadership in process improvement, project delivery, mentoring, and subject matter expertise.
- Senior Analyst: Advanced expertise in HIPAA transactions, healthcare data exchange, and EDI operations.
- Authorization to work in the United States without employer-sponsored immigration or other employment-based immigration support.
Nice To Haves
- Analyst: Knowledge of HIPAA transactions, healthcare operations, and integration technologies.
- Analyst: Exposure to automation, scripting, or workflow solutions.
- Senior Analyst: Experience with automation, APIs, modern integration technologies, and healthcare ecosystems.
- Residency in or relocation to Louisiana is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Design, maintain, and enhance EDI systems, services, and operational processes for accurate, efficient, and compliant healthcare data exchange.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, design and implement solutions, and support testing and validation.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, coordinate resolutions, and recommend process, automation, and technology improvements.
- Create and maintain technical and operational documentation, including requirements, workflows, procedures, and support materials.
- Maintain knowledge of healthcare transactions, EDI standards, and emerging technologies, and ensure compliance with regulatory, privacy, security, and industry requirements.
- Provide EDI support, issue resolution, and production troubleshooting for internal and external customers.
- Assist with system enhancements, implementations, testing, and documentation, and contribute to process improvements.
- Lead complex EDI projects, integrations, and automation initiatives at the Senior Analyst level.
- Provide subject matter expertise and direct testing, implementation activities, and critical issue resolution at the Senior Analyst level.
- Identify and implement process and technology improvements that support operational efficiency and business objectives.
- Mentor team members and facilitate collaboration across technical and business teams at the Senior Analyst level.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned, within the scope of responsibilities.
