EDI Analyst & Senior EDI Analyst
About The Position
Louisiana Blue is hiring multiple EDI Analysts for its EDI Customer Operations Project Development Team. Candidates may be hired at the Analyst or Senior Analyst level based on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated competencies. Reporting to the Manager of EDI Project Development, the role supports EDI systems, integrations, automation initiatives, and operational processes. It collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to improve efficiency, reliability, and customer experience while ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory and industry requirements. Senior Analysts also provide technical leadership, subject matter expertise, and team mentorship. Across levels, the role designs, maintains, and enhances EDI systems, services, and operational processes supporting accurate, efficient, and compliant healthcare data exchange. It gathers requirements, designs and implements solutions, supports testing and validation, monitors system performance, troubleshoots issues, coordinates resolutions, recommends improvements, and maintains technical and operational documentation. The role also keeps current with healthcare transactions, EDI standards, and emerging technologies. Analysts provide EDI support, issue resolution, and production troubleshooting for internal and external customers, and assist with enhancements, implementations, testing, documentation, and process improvements. Senior Analysts lead complex projects, integrations, and automation initiatives; direct testing, implementation, and critical issue resolution; identify improvements; and mentor team members while facilitating collaboration across technical and business teams. Residency in or relocation to Louisiana is preferred. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without employer-sponsored immigration support.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage priorities, collaborate across teams, and document business and technical requirements.
- Travel as needed.
- Analyst: 2 or more years of experience supporting business systems, technology solutions, or operational processes.
- Analyst: Experience with troubleshooting, system enhancements, and project support activities.
- Senior Analyst: 4 or more years of related experience, including 3 or more years supporting complex system implementations.
- Senior Analyst: Proven leadership in process improvement, project delivery, mentoring, and subject matter expertise.
- Senior Analyst: Advanced expertise in HIPAA transactions, healthcare data exchange, and EDI operations.
- Authorization to work in the United States without employer-sponsored immigration support.
Nice To Haves
- Analyst: Knowledge of HIPAA transactions, healthcare operations, and integration technologies.
- Analyst: Exposure to automation, scripting, or workflow solutions.
- Senior Analyst: Experience with automation, APIs, modern integration technologies, and healthcare ecosystems.

Responsibilities
- Design, maintain, and enhance EDI systems, services, and operational processes for accurate, efficient, and compliant healthcare data exchange.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, design and implement solutions, and support testing and validation.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate resolutions.
- Recommend process, automation, and technology improvements to increase operational effectiveness and customer satisfaction.
- Create and maintain technical and operational documentation, including requirements, workflows, procedures, and support materials.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, privacy, security, and industry standards.
- Provide EDI support, issue resolution, and production troubleshooting for internal and external customers.
- Assist with system enhancements, implementations, testing, and documentation.
- Lead complex EDI projects, integrations, and automation initiatives at the Senior Analyst level.
- Direct testing, implementation activities, and critical issue resolution at the Senior Analyst level.
- Mentor team members and facilitate collaboration across technical and business teams at the Senior Analyst level.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned within the scope of responsibilities.
