Ecommerce Operations Manager

Fishwife Tinned Seafood Co.

About The Position

Fishwife is hiring an individual-contributor Ecommerce Operations Manager to own the operational engine of its Shopify and Amazon businesses. The role turns Marketing revenue goals and media plans into SKU-level demand forecasts, maintains accurate ecommerce catalogs, and manages launches from initial planning through inventory readiness. It bridges Marketing and Operations and works daily with Growth, Brand, Procurement, Demand Planning, and the broader Operations team. The role reports to the Head of Marketing, with a dotted line to Operations. The manager owns ecommerce demand planning and forecast accuracy, catalog setup and data integrity across Shopify, Amazon, Cin7, and related integrations, and cross-functional launch planning for new items, bundles, kits, and non-fish products. The role also supports inventory health and allocation, maintains ecommerce reporting and tool-renewal processes, runs the marketing team's operating cadence, and automates recurring manual work.

Requirements

  • Four to six years of experience in ecommerce operations, demand planning, or supply planning, ideally at a CPG or DTC brand.
  • Hands-on operations or planning experience in at least one prior role.
  • Strategic thinking, including the ability to set priorities, anticipate downstream effects, and explain plans to Marketing and Operations.
  • Experience translating marketing plans into SKU-level demand forecasts and measuring forecast accuracy against actuals.
  • Project management experience running cross-functional launches and managing multiple workstreams without losing detail.
  • Hands-on experience with Shopify product setup.
  • Fluency with inventory concepts, including availability, allocation, safety stock, kitting, and bills of materials.
  • Strong spreadsheet skills and the ability to build a model from scratch.
  • Attention to detail and a habit of automating tasks performed manually more than twice.
  • Ability and interest in connecting Marketing and Operations in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing an Amazon Seller Central catalog.
  • ERP experience; Cin7 is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Translate Marketing's monthly revenue goals and media plans into a SKU-level D2C and Amazon unit forecast, including component demand for bundles and kits.
  • Own forecast accuracy and run the monthly ecommerce S&OP retrospective, comparing actuals with the plan, diagnosing variances, and improving forecasting methods.
  • Deliver the ecommerce forecast to the Demand Planning Manager as the D2C input to the company's omnichannel demand plan.
  • Flag demand shifts, including promotions, virality, and softening trends, early enough for Operations to respond to potential supply risks.
  • Manage Shopify product and variant setup, including bundles and gift sets, ensuring listings are accurate, live on time, and associated with the correct SKU.
  • Build and manage Fishwife's Amazon Seller Central catalog, maintaining accurate listings, ASINs, and SKU mappings as the portfolio grows.
  • Coordinate with Operations on SKU codes created in the ERP and keep Shopify, Amazon, Cin7, and the 3PL aligned.
  • Maintain clean, reliable data across Shopify, Amazon, the ERP, and their integrations.
  • Own the ecommerce launch process for every new item, mapping steps, setting timelines, assigning owners, and tracking deadlines.
  • Plan new items across D2C and Amazon, including compositions, component and packaging requirements, kitting requests, and item setup.
  • Manage merchandise and packaging demand and timelines, providing Procurement with quantities and need-by dates.
  • Enter and track kitting work orders with the 3PL and confirm inventory is available before launch dates.
  • Keep bundles and kits in stock and reconfigure them when a component is at risk.
  • Work with Operations to identify substitutes and plan transitions across listings, bundles, and marketing when an item is at risk of stockout or becomes unavailable.
  • Protect wholesale inventory by managing D2C on-site availability and representing ecommerce in the weekly inventory allocation call.
  • Build and own D2C and Amazon dashboards covering forecast versus actuals, inventory health, and launch readiness.
  • Maintain the ecommerce and martech tool register and renewal calendar, and present renew-or-cut recommendations to leadership.
  • Run the marketing team's operating cadence, including meeting agendas, decisions, and action tracking.
  • Automate recurring manual work wherever possible.

  • Competitive salary package.
  • Strong health benefits.
