About The Position

The Learning Experience – Bushwick is seeking an experienced Lead Preppers Teacher to guide our early preschool classroom serving young learners transitioning into more structured classroom routines and school readiness experiences. This role focuses on supporting independence, communication skills, social-emotional growth, and early academic foundations through engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences. We are actively hiring for this position with the goal of filling the role by the end of May.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or higher required
• Must meet New York State and NYC childcare licensing requirements

Nice To Haves

• Prior preschool or early childhood classroom leadership experience preferred
• Strong understanding of developmentally appropriate practice and classroom management
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Lead daily classroom instruction for an early preschool / Preppers classroom
• Implement engaging learning activities aligned with developmentally appropriate practices
• Support children’s language development, social interaction, and classroom participation
• Create a structured and nurturing classroom environment that promotes independence
• Guide assistant teachers and maintain consistent classroom routines
• Communicate regularly with families regarding classroom experiences and developmental progress
• Maintain compliance with New York State and NYC childcare licensing requirements
