About The Position
As an Early Preschool Teacher at Woodcreek Reserve, you’ll create a fun, safe environment with a daily schedule designed to develop children’s confidence and independence. You’ll help guide these little ones through small group instruction as they grow their ability to absorb new content and understand increasingly complex information. You'll also aid students in the potty-training process, so they become fully independent. Teaching is more than a job. It’s an opportunity to foster curiosity, creativity and compassion in children—all while helping them develop a lifelong love of learning.
Requirements
- Passion for teaching and fostering curiosity, creativity, and compassion in children.
- Ability to create a fun and safe environment.
- Skill in guiding children through small group instruction.
- Ability to aid students in the potty-training process.
- Willingness to build genuine relationships with each child.
- Ability to implement lesson plans from the Balanced Learning® curriculum.
- Ability to maintain a well-kept classroom.
- Ability to help students develop life skills.
Responsibilities
- Build genuine relationships with each child.
- Help children learn about language and literacy, science, life skills, and more.
- Work with your co-teacher to implement the lesson plans from the research-informed Balanced Learning® curriculum.
- Maintain a well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore and make decisions with confidence.
- Discover what works best for each child as you teach them about the world around them.
- Help students develop important life skills like using the restroom independently.
