About The Position

Primrose School at Holly Grove is hiring childcare teachers for infant, toddler, 2-year-old, preschool, and pre-K classrooms. Teachers work as part of a three-teacher classroom team, with three full-time teachers in every room and no increase in the number of students. Four full-time front office staff and an engaged, supportive owner provide additional support. The school welcomes experienced teachers and people who are new to the industry but passionate about working with children. It offers credential-based pay increases and tuition assistance as teachers pursue education and professional growth. Compensation is $16.00–$22.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Pleasant and friendly demeanor and an outgoing personality.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to remain composed under stress.
• Ability to interact with and guide students of different ages and skill levels.
• Availability to work Monday through Friday.
• Passion for working with children.

Nice To Haves

• Classroom teaching experience in an accredited early childhood facility; experience is not required.
• Possession of, or currently working toward, North Carolina Early Childhood Credentials (EDU 119).

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the daily functions of a class of children.
• Observe and follow North Carolina rules and regulations regarding the health, safety, and care of children.
• Support communication with parents at the end of the day regarding their child.
• Bring enthusiasm and a passion for working with the assigned age group.
