About The Position

The Playing Field is seeking a mission-driven Nurturing Support Teacher for their classrooms at the Madison Midtown location. Since 2015, this independent nonprofit has worked to break down barriers to high-quality childcare by bringing together children experiencing homelessness and those from more advantaged backgrounds within a nurturing, high-quality early learning environment. The role offers a supportive workplace with extensive training, ongoing coaching, a collaborative culture, and enrollment in the Conscious Discipline eCourse. It features low child-to-teacher ratios to allow for deep, meaningful relationships and individualized care, and an attachment-focused approach where children stay paired with the same teacher for as long as possible to cultivate strong, secure attachments. There are also growth opportunities with clear career advancement pathways as the organization expands.

Requirements

• Completed Associate or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, or a closely related developmental field.
• Deeply committed to maintaining the highest benchmarks of safety and excellence in early education.
• A Wisconsin Registry Certificate is required. (Assistance provided for qualified candidates).
