About The Position

The Learning Experience - Ledgewood is seeking a caring and energetic Early Childhood Teacher to join our classroom serving children approximately 2.5-3 years old. This is an exciting developmental stage as children build language, independence, friendships, and confidence while preparing for the preschool years. We're looking for a teacher who can provide a nurturing, structured environment while turning children's natural curiosity into meaningful learning experiences.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
Ability to meet New Jersey childcare licensing requirements
Patient, nurturing, dependable, and team-oriented

Nice To Haves

Previous daycare, preschool, childcare, or experience working with young children preferred
Experience with toddlers or preschool-age children is a plus
CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus

Responsibilities

Lead daily routines and learning experiences for children approximately 2.5-3 years old
Implement The Learning Experience's L.E.A.P. Curriculum
Engage children through art, music, movement, sensory play, stories, and hands-on activities
Support language, cognitive, physical, and social-emotional development
Encourage independence, self-help skills, and positive peer interactions
Support toileting, meals, rest time, outdoor play, and transitions
Maintain consistent classroom routines and positive guidance
Build positive relationships with children and families
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom
Follow New Jersey childcare licensing requirements
