About The Position

Acentra Health is seeking an EAP Consultant, Mid to conduct clinical telephonic assessments and consultations for employees, managers, and family members covered by the Employee Assistance Program. The role provides comprehensive referrals and diligent follow-up, along with clinical risk assessment, short-term issue resolution, and management consultation services. The consultant is expected to understand the customer base, follow corporate policies including HIPAA privacy and security requirements, and support the EAP department's goals. The regular schedule is Monday through Friday, 1:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. EST, with rotating weekends. The role also requires a 6–8-week training period, Monday through Friday, between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. EST. The annual pay range is listed as $59,840–$74,800.

Requirements

Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related field.
At least 3–5 years of employment in the mental health field, with assessment of mental illness and substance abuse as a key function.
Knowledge of confidentiality laws and their exceptions.
Ability to commit to a 6–8-week training period, Monday through Friday, between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. EST.

Nice To Haves

Two years of EAP experience preferred.
Independent license and CEAP preferred.
Strong customer service skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to remain calm in a crisis.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine and urgent clinical risk assessments, providing expert consultations, short-term issue resolution, and comprehensive referral services.
Provide management consultation services to managers at various levels and to human resources.
Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the organization's customer base and stay informed about issues affecting customers.
Perform additional assigned duties in support of internal and external customers and the EAP department's goals.
Read, understand, and adhere to corporate policies, including policies related to HIPAA and its Privacy and Security Rules.
