About The Position

Cherry Bekaert’s Information Security & Risk Management team is seeking an e-Discovery Analyst to support litigation, regulatory, and internal investigation matters through the management of electronically stored information (ESI). This role offers the opportunity to work closely with legal, cybersecurity, compliance, and business stakeholders while developing expertise across the full e-discovery lifecycle. This position follows a hybrid work model and is expected to be located within commuting distance of our Richmond, Virginia office, with approximately two days per week spent in the office.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required
  • Experience in cybersecurity, e-discovery, litigation support, legal technology, information governance, or a related discipline.
  • Knowledge of electronic discovery concepts, legal processes, and document review workflows.
  • Familiarity with Relativity or similar e-discovery and document review platforms.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to organize, review, and manage large volumes of electronic data.
  • Understanding of data integrity, quality control, and confidentiality requirements associated with sensitive information.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across legal, business, and technical teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and exercising sound judgment when handling sensitive legal and business information.
  • Candidates must demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States. Cherry Bekaert will not provide work sponsorship for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with identifying, preserving, and tracking electronically stored information (ESI) in response to litigation holds, regulatory inquiries, and internal investigations.
  • Support data collection activities while maintaining accurate documentation and defensible chain-of-custody processes.
  • Process, load, organize, and manage data within e-discovery and document review platforms.
  • Collaborate with legal, business, and technical stakeholders to facilitate efficient and compliant e-discovery workflows.
  • Support document review projects, including relevance, responsiveness, and privilege review activities under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Perform quality control checks to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and completeness throughout the review process.
  • Prepare document productions, exports, and deliverables for legal counsel, regulators, and internal stakeholders while meeting established timelines and project objectives.
