About The Position

The E-Commerce Listing Associate creates online product listings for donated goods to be sold through the organization’s auction-based e-commerce website. The role researches specialty items to develop accurate descriptions and assign appropriate values, tracks and stores items, responds to customer inquiries, monitors the website and listing software, and contributes to department production and sales goals. The associate also participates in team activities and training, helps train new hires when needed, and maintains a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to pass pre-screenings such as background or drug screenings.
• Experience with computers, the internet, Microsoft Office Suite, and an iPhone or Android device.
• Thrift, online, and/or auction-based sales or appraisal experience.
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance.
• Ability to work in a warehouse atmosphere with large machinery, loud noise, and dust.

Responsibilities

• Research specialty items to create accurate descriptions and assign appropriate values, using search engines and basic computer skills.
• Track items by listing number and shelving location, and store items appropriately.
• Provide prompt, accurate, and professional customer service by email and phone.
• Monitor the Shopgoodwill.com website and Lister software daily, and assist with expansion of new listing software.
• Meet department production goals for listing items and average sales goals.
• Participate in team-building exercises and staff meetings, and be motivated to cross-train.
• Attend ongoing training and assist with training new hires when necessary.
• Maintain work areas that are organized, clean, and safe.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
