About The Position

The Dynamics 365 Business Central Lead Consultant will lead complex client implementations and support the growth of the Enterprise Microsoft Transformation (EMT) team and Microsoft practice. The consultant will work closely with clients and the delivery team throughout the delivery lifecycle, from discovery workshops through post-go-live support. The role includes designing and presenting solution blueprints, collaborating with developers and other consultants, and leading solution configuration and testing, including ISV apps and custom extensions. The consultant will also support end-user training, data migration, and cutover planning. The position seeks a friendly, detail-oriented problem-solver with a passion for technology and business optimization, excellent communication skills, an inquisitive nature, and strong technical and analytical abilities. The role is part of a collaborative team that values new ideas and shared problem-solving.

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience as a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central functional consultant, with demonstrated experience leading or playing a key functional role in full-lifecycle implementations.
Demonstrated experience with at least two full-lifecycle Dynamics 365 Business Central implementations, from discovery and solution design through configuration, UAT, cutover, go-live, and post-production support.
Thorough knowledge of Dynamics 365 Business Central and Dynamics NAV, including core finance, accounts payable and accounts receivable, sales and purchase order processing, inventory, and warehouse management.
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts in non-technical language.
Strong consulting skills, including influencing, leadership, and facilitation skills.
Willingness and ability to travel 50% or more.

Nice To Haves

Detailed knowledge of project management, manufacturing, and service management.
Experience with Business Central ISV solutions such as Continia and Tasklet; comparable document capture, expense management, warehouse management, or related Business Central add-on experience will also be considered.
Strong knowledge of Power BI apps for Dynamics 365 Business Central, as well as Microsoft 365 and Power Apps integration.
Knowledge of Shopify, Dynamics 365 Sales, and Dynamics 365 Field Service working with Dynamics 365 Business Central.
Current Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central certification(s).
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, information systems, technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience.

Responsibilities

Oversee the functional delivery of Dynamics 365 Business Central and act as the primary point of contact for functional discussions.
Lead the design of end-to-end Dynamics 365 Business Central solutions by translating business requirements into a solution blueprint.
Lead solution build activities, including configuration, data migration, quality assurance, training, and UAT.
Lead integration efforts with third-party systems, supported by developers and solution architects.
Lead business readiness for go-live, cutover planning, post-go-live hypercare, and transition to support.
Coordinate with developers, consultants, and project managers to manage scope, timelines, and deliverables.
Mentor more junior consultants and support their development.
Ensure solutions meet client expectations and quality standards.
Stay up to date with Dynamics 365 Business Central features and functionality and related key ISV apps, and ensure solutions align with best practices and Microsoft's roadmap.
Contribute to internal practice development.
Manage project activity planning, including estimating required effort.
Maintain up-to-date Dynamics 365 Business Central certifications.
