About The Position

Third Future Schools, a growing network of charter schools, is seeking a DYAD Foreign Language Consultant for Manor Middle School in Killeen, TX. This role will lead engaging elective classes for students as part of the DYAD Electives program, which focuses on building 21st-century skills through hands-on, experiential learning. The DYAD program connects classroom learning with community-based expertise, bringing individuals with real-world knowledge to provide meaningful learning opportunities. The consultant will provide an experience through their expertise in foreign language, aiming to build students' critical thinking, communication, creativity, and problem-solving skills.

Requirements

Responsibilities

Provide engaging, structured, and experience-based instruction in foreign language.
Develop and provide their own curriculum aligned to the elective they teach.
Independently plan, lead, and manage a class that reflects both their expertise and the expectations of the DYAD program.
Create a safe, orderly, and productive learning environment.
Actively teach, monitor, and engage students throughout the class period.
Maintain strong classroom management and uphold school expectations.
Ensure students are participating in meaningful, hands-on learning experiences.
Communicate professionally with campus staff and leadership.
Be prepared, consistent, and dependable in daily instruction.
Use their expertise to connect classroom learning to real-world experiences.
Contribute positively to the culture of the school and the integrity of the DYAD program.
Create opportunities for parents and families to see and celebrate what students have accomplished through foreign language showcases, presentations, displays, or other demonstrations of learning.
