About The Position

Third Future Schools is seeking a DYAD Foreign Language Consultant for Sam Houston Elementary in Midland, TX. This role will lead engaging elective classes for students as part of the DYAD program, which connects classroom learning with community-based expertise. The DYAD program aims to bridge the gap between the classroom and the community by bringing in individuals with real-world knowledge to provide meaningful, hands-on learning opportunities. The consultant will provide an experience through their expertise, helping students build critical thinking, communication, creativity, and other essential 21st-century skills through hands-on learning experiences.

Requirements

Skill, knowledge, and first-hand experience in foreign language or a related creative field.
Ability to work effectively with students in a school setting.
Strong communication, organization, and classroom leadership skills.
Ability to provide structured, engaging, and experience-based learning.

Responsibilities

Provide engaging, structured, and experience-based instruction in foreign language.
Develop and provide their own curriculum aligned to the elective they teach.
Independently plan, lead, and manage a class that reflects both their expertise and the expectations of the DYAD program.
Create a safe, orderly, and productive learning environment.
Actively teach, monitor, and engage students throughout the class period.
Maintain strong classroom management and uphold school expectations.
Ensure students are participating in meaningful, hands-on learning experiences.
Communicate professionally with campus staff and leadership.
Be prepared, consistent, and dependable in daily instruction.
Use their expertise to connect classroom learning to real-world experiences.
Contribute positively to the culture of the school and the integrity of the DYAD program.
Create opportunities for parents and families to see and celebrate what students have accomplished through foreign language showcases, presentations, displays, or other demonstrations of learning.
