About The Position

Third Future Schools is seeking a DYAD Foreign Language Consultant for Ogden Elementary School in San Antonio, TX. This role is part of the DYAD program, which connects classroom learning with community-based expertise to provide students with meaningful, hands-on learning opportunities. The consultant will lead engaging elective classes for students, focusing on building critical thinking, communication, and creativity through experiential learning. The DYAD model brings in individuals with real-world knowledge to provide students with practical learning experiences. The consultant will provide an experience through their expertise, going beyond traditional teaching to offer a unique learning opportunity.

Requirements

Responsibilities

Provide engaging, structured, and experience-based instruction in foreign language.
Develop and provide their own curriculum aligned to the elective they teach.
Independently plan, lead, and manage a class that reflects both their expertise and the expectations of the DYAD program.
Create a safe, orderly, and productive learning environment.
Actively teach, monitor, and engage students throughout the class period.
Maintain strong classroom management and uphold school expectations.
Ensure students are participating in meaningful, hands-on learning experiences.
Communicate professionally with campus staff and leadership.
Be prepared, consistent, and dependable in daily instruction.
Use their expertise to connect classroom learning to real-world experiences.
Contribute positively to the culture of the school and the integrity of the DYAD program.
Create opportunities for parents and families to see and celebrate what students have accomplished through class showcases, presentations, or other demonstrations of learning.
