About The Position

Third Future Schools is seeking a DYAD Foreign Language Consultant to lead engaging elective classes for students at SOUTH ELEMENTARY SCHOOL in MIDLAND, TX. This role is part of the DYAD program, which connects classroom learning with community-based expertise to provide students with meaningful, hands-on learning opportunities. DYAD consultants bring real-world knowledge and first-hand experience to bridge the gap between the classroom and the community, offering students an experience through their expertise. The consultant will provide engaging, structured, and experience-based instruction in foreign language, develop their own curriculum, and create a safe and productive learning environment. They will also maintain strong classroom management, communicate professionally with staff, and connect classroom learning to real-world experiences.

Requirements

Skill, knowledge, and first-hand experience in physical education, fitness, sports, or movement-based instruction
Ability to work effectively with students in a school setting
Strong communication, organization, and classroom leadership skills
Ability to provide structured, engaging, and experience-based learning
Commitment to professionalism, consistency, and student engagement

Responsibilities

Provide engaging, structured, and experience-based instruction in physical education
Develop and provide their own curriculum aligned to the elective they teach
Independently plan, lead, and manage a class that reflects both their expertise and the expectations of the DYAD program
Create a safe, orderly, and productive learning environment
Actively teach, monitor, and engage students throughout the class period
Maintain strong classroom management and uphold school expectations
Ensure students are participating in meaningful, hands-on learning experiences
Communicate professionally with campus staff and leadership
Be prepared, consistent, and dependable in daily instruction
Use their expertise to connect classroom learning to real-world experiences
Contribute positively to the culture of the school and the integrity of the DYAD program
Create opportunities for parents and families to see and celebrate what students have accomplished through class showcases, skill demonstrations, presentations, or other demonstrations of learning
