This externship program is designed to provide DVM students with practical experience in a contemporary small animal practice. The program aims to contribute to students' practice-readiness and help them transition smoothly into their post-graduation careers. Externships can range from two to eight weeks, typically lasting two to three weeks, and include days, evenings, and weekends. Rotations allow students, under veterinary supervision, to practice problem-solving, technical, and communication skills. Externs will participate in all aspects of patient care alongside the veterinary team. A stipend of $250 per week will be provided.
