This program is designed to provide DVM students with practical, off-campus educational experiences in a contemporary veterinary practice. The externship aims to contribute to students' practice-readiness, preparing them for better patient care after graduation. Externships can range from two to eight weeks, typically lasting two to three weeks, and are flexible according to college curricula. The program structure allows students, under veterinary supervision, to practice problem-solving, technical, and communication skills. Externs will work alongside the veterinary team and participate in all aspects of patient care. A stipend of $250 per week will be provided.
