This externship program is designed to provide DVM students with practical experience in a contemporary small animal veterinary practice. The program aims to contribute to students' practice-readiness, enabling them to deliver better care after graduation. Externships can range from two to eight weeks, typically lasting two or three weeks, and include days, evenings, and weekends. Rotations allow students, under veterinary supervision, to practice problem-solving, technical, and communication skills. Externs will work alongside the veterinary team and participate in all aspects of patient care. A stipend of $250 per week will be provided.
