About The Position

Dual Director of Sales will oversee all sales efforts for both hotels, with a strong focus on: Corporate accounts, Group business, SMERF market, Meeting & event sales, Local negotiated accounts, Community engagement, Opening activation strategies for the voco Hayward launch. This leader will work closely with Operations, Revenue Management, and Corporate Leadership to maximize revenue, market share, occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR performance. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, relationship-driven, and passionate about hospitality sales.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of hotel sales experience preferred
  • Previous Director of Sales or hotel leadership experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of group, corporate, and transient sales strategies
  • Excellent communication, networking, and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Nice To Haves

  • IHG experience is a plus
  • Experience with hotel sales systems and CRM platforms preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans for both hotels
  • Generate new corporate, group, and local business opportunities
  • Conduct outside sales calls, networking, and community engagement
  • Prospect and secure new accounts within the Hayward and surrounding markets
  • Build strong relationships with businesses, organizations, and event planners
  • Assist with pre-opening sales strategies and hotel launch efforts
  • Develop awareness and excitement around the new voco Hayward opening
  • Coordinate hotel tours, site visits, and community outreach efforts
  • Drive meeting and event business for the new hotel
  • Work closely with Revenue Management to optimize rate strategy and inventory management
  • Monitor pace, production, STAR reports, and market trends
  • Prepare weekly sales reports, forecasts, and account activity updates
  • Participate in revenue and leadership meetings
  • Ensure all client interactions reflect professionalism and hospitality
  • Support brand standards and guest satisfaction initiatives
  • Collaborate with hotel operations teams to ensure successful group execution
