About The Position

Join the KFI Team in Lincoln! KFI is a Maine-based nonprofit dedicated to supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in living full, independent lives within their communities. We are seeking a compassionate, friendly, patient, and outgoing person for a full-time position supporting Dan, an individual who values independence and engagement in his community. Dan is looking for a passionate DSP who can build a positive relationship and engage in activities he enjoys, such as listening to old music, collecting records, watching classic TV, karaoke, shopping, and going on road trips. The ideal candidate will be reliable, enjoy building connections, share some of Dan's interests, possess good listening skills, be curious but not nosey, and be comfortable with silence. Responsibilities include engaging in conversations, maintaining friendships, making community connections, assisting with hobbies, managing medication, planning meals, housekeeping, and providing transportation for appointments and outings.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
• Valid Maine Driver’s License (Required)
• A Registered and Insured Vehicle (Required)
• Evening and weekend availability
