About The Position

ViaQuest’s Direct Support Professional (DSP) Team Lead supports individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes, helping foster independence, choice, and empowerment while ensuring their health and safety. Training is provided, and prior experience is preferred but not required. The role is a full-time second-shift position paying $19.25–$20.25 per hour. It may suit people beginning a healthcare career, pursuing experience in the IDD field, studying toward an STNA career, or gaining experience while taking classes.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• A personal, reliable vehicle that can be used to transport individuals served.
• Valid Ohio driver’s license and car insurance.
• Must meet ViaQuest’s Authorized Driver Criteria: no OVI/DUI or reckless-operation violations; no speeding violations more than 20 MPH over the posted limit; no more than two moving violations in the last two years or more than five points.
• Ability to push, lift, or carry up to 50 pounds and to climb, balance, kneel, and crouch.

• At least one year of experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, promoting independence, choice, and empowerment while meeting health and safety needs.
• Supervise, teach, and assist individuals in all aspects of their lives.
• Perform household tasks, including meal preparation and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
• Provide personal care assistance.
• Transport individuals served using a personal vehicle.
