About The Position

ViaQuest DSPs provide support to individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes. Training is provided in its entirety, and no prior experience is required, though experience is preferred. The role focuses on helping individuals increase independence, choice, and empowerment while ensuring their health and safety. The position is full-time, second shift, and pays $19.25–$20.25 per hour.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Personal, reliable vehicle that the employee is willing and able to use to transport individuals served.
• Valid Ohio driver's license and car insurance.
• Motor Vehicle Record must meet ViaQuest's Authorized Driver Criteria: no OVI/DUI, reckless operations, or speeding violations more than 20 MPH over the posted limit; no more than 2 moving violations in the last 2 years or more than 5 points.
• Ability to push, lift, or carry up to 50 lbs., and climb, balance, kneel, and crouch.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, fostering independence, choice, and empowerment while meeting health and safety needs.
• Supervise, teach, and assist individuals in all aspects of their lives.
• Complete household tasks, including meal preparation and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
• Provide personal care assistance.
• Use a personal vehicle to transport individuals served.
