DSP/Caregiver - Up To $28.13/hr on Weekends!
About The Position
Residential Program Specialists are Direct Support Professionals who support, supervise, role-model, and provide behavioral management for youth and adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities and significant behavioral or mental health issues. The role helps people build fulfilling lives by fostering community access and unpaid relationships, developing social and daily living skills toward maximum independence, managing medications and behaviors, using physical interventions when needed to maintain safety, and collecting and documenting data thoroughly and accurately. Weekend hours are paid at time and a half, with weekend wages starting at $27.38 and reaching $28.13 per hour. Wage depends on experience, shift, and location. Schedules consist of 10–12-hour shifts, with day and graveyard schedule options. Positions are being recruited in Monmouth, Corvallis, Silverton, and Salem, Oregon.
Responsibilities
- Provide support, supervision, role-modeling, and behavioral management to youth and adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities and significant behavioral or mental health issues.
- Help individuals build fulfilling lives.
- Foster community access and unpaid relationships.
- Build social and daily living skills with the goal of achieving maximum independence.
- Manage medications.
- Manage behavior, including physical interventions designed to maintain safety for the person and others.
- Collect and document data thoroughly and accurately.
